Al Capone’s pizzas

Our pizza’s are prepared in the traditional way in Italy based on an authentic Italian recipe. The pizza bases are manually sauced with either 100 % tomato sauce, pesto, mascarpone, mascarpone truffle or sour cream. They are then pre-baked and topped with the best Italian ingredients.

You can prepare the pizza in the comfort of your own home and finish it with the fresh arugula, basil or nuts that are included in the box.

Spianata

The spianata base is similar in shape to a pizza with a diameter of 29 cm. The main difference with a pizza is in the composition of the ingredients and the method of preparing. The spianata base is sauced with olive oil and sea salt instead of tomato sauce. The spianata can then be topped according to preference with meat, fish or vegetarian products. The sauces we use on our spianata are truffle-mascarpone, pesto and sour cream. The spianata is a healthy and delicious product which can be seen as a proper meal with its average weight of 375 grams. Half a spianata is often used as a lunch.

About Al Capone's

Al Capones was founded in 1992 in the Netherlands where we started with 7 company stores and with a focus on delivery. From there the company expanded to having 40 franchise restaurants. In 2006 we changed our concept and placed our focus on central production of high quality Italian products.

We now prepare all our products in Italy. Our range of products is distributed through several concepts that we have specifically developed for each brand. Al Capone’s is currently active in foodservice, restaurants, catering, event catering and retail. We always aim to surprise people with the combination of taste, presentation and experience of our products.

Our Products

Our Al Capone’s pizzas and spianatas are freshly prepared daily in our quality center in the north of Italy. We have succeeded in maintaining our products restaurant quality with this central production. The quality of our products starts at the base, we use a flour which is very rich in proteins. We leave our dough to rest for 48 hours after mixing and kneading. This process, which is unique compared to the production process of most producers, gives the dough the opportunity to develop the best taste and structure.

After the dough has rested we will start to shape it into balls and leave it to rest for another hour. Only when the dough has fully risen do we roll the balls into a base for either a pizza or a spianata.

When the bases are finished they are sauced and pre-baked in a wood stone oven, which guarantees the authentic Al Capone’s taste. Finally the bases for our pizzas and spianatas are topped by hand with the best Italian ingredients.
